STX France shipyard in St. Nazaire will build at least four World Class cruise ships for MSC Cruises that will be among the largest in the world. Finnish maritime know-how is appreciated by the yard, and as STX France is seeking to find new foreign partners to construct the vessels, there is significant business potential for Finnish companies with the project​​. At least four World Class cruise ships, which will be delivered in 2022 and 2024 (options are for 2025 and 2026 )

Product and solutions needed

The shipyard has expressed their interest to find various types of suppliers, such as

  • big block assembly (thick welding)
  • hydraulics fitting
  • out-fitting
  • inside fitting
  • furniture
  • machinery
  • electricity

However, the following suppliers are excluded from STX's scope of interest: painters or surface treatment suppliers, insulation work, preassembly piping work and piping work.
