Finland and Israel share very similar structure in their healthcare systems and both countries have digital key (national ID number) to identify citizens and vast amount of health data collected over many decades. Additionally Israel’s strong high-tech ecosystem has many strong supportive industries (Cyber Security, AR/VR, ICT, AI/ML) and its well connected with USA markets.
End of 2021, Israel launched a new innovation program that will allow health organizations such as HMOs, hospitals, and institutes to build the digital infrastructure required for anonymized data-sharing and research and development collaborations with healthcare startups. The variety of data and future developments open many knowledge exchange and business opportunities for Finnish digital health companies in various fields.
