Ecosystem is boosted by world class educational institutions such as Caltech, UCLA and USC. During 2016 Startups in the area raised $4.2B in funding (to 231 companies), there were also 64 exits worth $6.5B. Main sectors or startups are: Consumer Web, B2B, Fintech, Ecommerce and Adtech.
